Quality control has always played a key part in ABI’s manufacturing processes.

In 1993, ABI received its first ISO Certification, an internationally recognized Quality Management System that is focused on meeting customer expectations and delivering customer satisfaction. It evaluates the effectiveness of our Quality Management System and aids us in identifying and implementing improvements, helping us to consistently deliver quality products to our customers. In February of this year, ABI Tape achieved certification to the latest standard, ISO 9001:2015, and reached 100% compliance on the first audit.

With our Mt. Laurel operation bursting at the seams, ABI decided that Tape headquarters needed a new home with more room to expand. In 1989, we closed our Garfield, NJ operation and broke ground on a beautiful 125,000 sq. ft. facility in picturesque Moorestown, NJ. Even with the increase in space, it wasn’t long before the division was ready to grow again. In 1994, with plenty of property, we added a 100,000 sq. ft. expansion, nearly doubling the size of the operation, as well as our production capacity.

Operating out of our Moorestown location, ABI also boasts an R&D Department who has the responsibility of research, development, market testing, tech service requests, analytical requests, operational process improvement projects, and quality improvement initiatives. From the 80’s to the aughts, innovation in the R&D lab was crucial as ABI’s core brands sprung to life.
